Good morning Scoopers. Things are kicking off in 2025 with lots of stuff scheduled at Bunjil Place along with the month long Summer Stage program that starts on Jan 14. Be sure to dig in to the events info to see if there is anything that sparks your interest.

If you have kids then the KITE FESTIVAL at Akoonah park is a must see this Saturday 11th from 12 - 6pm.

Relax and listen to live music at Beaconsfield and Cranbourne venues. Or, Adopt a cute kitty from 2nd Chance Cat Rescue this Saturday.

Not to be outdone, Frankston Arts Centre also has a lot of stuff for you to consider if you feel up to taking a drive.

2nd Chance Cat Rescue

With over 50 cats listed on our website, finding the perfect feline companion for your home is a breeze. This January, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting adoption days every Saturday, dedicated to finding loving homes for as many cats and kittens as possible. Summer Filmmaking Workshop - Bunjil Place

This workshop is for young people aged 15 - 18.
Dates Monday 13 Jan - Friday 17 Jan All days 10.00 am - 2.30 pm

Are you a budding filmmaker? Have you made some DIY short films or are you just super keen to have a go?!

In this school holiday program for young people aged 15 - 18 years old, we take participants through a comprehensive introduction to the craft of filmmaking and visual storytelling. We will take you through each stage of production day by day; Development, Pre production, Post-Production and final Screening. Participants will have access to DSLR and Broadcast cameras, as well as studio lighting, green screen and professional editing software.

DAY 1: Development. DAY 2: Pre-Production. DAY 3: Production. DAY 4: Post-Production. DAY 5: Distribution / Screening.

Tickets $25.00 for the full 5 days.
